Guided fossil hunts are held regularly on weekends and public holidays from Easter to June, daily in July and August, and on weekends in September and October. These tours offer expert insights and ensure the experience is educational and exciting for all ages. Remember to dress for outdoor exploration with sturdy shoes, sun protection, and water to stay refreshed during the walk through the quarry's uneven terrain.

While at Geomuseum Faxe, visitors can explore engaging exhibitions about the cultural significance of the limestone and learn how it has been used historically in iconic Danish buildings. The museum shop provides refreshments, souvenirs, and everything you need for your fossil hunt.

The quarry is an active mining site, so swimming in the lakes is strongly discouraged due to the deep, cold water and alkaline pH that may cause skin irritation.
