Discover an unforgettable family-friendly experience at GeoCenter Møns Klint, located on the breathtaking island of Møn in Denmark. This unique destination offers more than 20 exciting indoor and outdoor activities, perfect for nature lovers and curious explorers of all ages.
One of the standout adventures here is guided fossil hunting along the stunning 128-meter-high chalk cliffs and the beach below. These fossils are remnants of life from the Cretaceous Sea around 70 million years ago, and you have a real chance to uncover sea urchins, giant clams, oysters, and even ancient sea sponges. This activity provides a fascinating window into Earth's history, brought to life by knowledgeable guides who share captivating stories about the region's geological past.
Fossil hunts with a guide occur daily at 11 am and 2 pm during the open season, lasting about an hour. The cost is just 25 DKK per person, in addition to the entrance fee to GeoCenter Møns Klint. The center's entrance is 155 DKK for adults and 100 DKK for children aged 3 to 11, with free admission for children under three. Tickets bought online save you 10 DKK each.
Besides fossil hunting, visitors can enjoy activities like climbing, cable car rides, mountain biking, and exploring the rich forest biodiversity at Klinteskoven. The on-site café offers delicious food and homemade Klinteis, where families can relax and soak in the stunning cliff views.
