Horse Activities on Møn

Horseback riding is a quintessential experience for tourists visiting Møn, Denmark’s dramatic limestone island. As Denmark’s largest nature island, Møn offers a rugged landscape perfectly suited for exploration on horseback.

Many local stables offer guided tours catering to all levels, making it accessible even for first-time riders. The paths wind along the edge of the famous White Cliffs of Møns Klint, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Baltic Sea below. Galloping through the sandy heathlands or navigating the cool, shaded paths of the ancient Beech Forest allows riders to immerse themselves in the island's raw beauty and silence.

Beyond the scenery, riding connects visitors to the region's deep history; this area was once home to the Vikings, and many horses used today are hardy breeds accustomed to the terrain. The rhythmic clatter of hooves on the beach provides a romantic and meditative way to experience the island, offering a perspective far superior to driving. For a memorable holiday, nothing beats the feeling of freedom high above the cliffs.

Møns Islænder Center invites you to discover breathtaking nature while riding! Enjoy the stunning landscape around Møns Klint and experience the majestic cliff from the unique perspective of a horse's back.

The offer is available to children and adults and is available all day.

During a ride, some of Denmark's most beautiful regions can be explored, including forest areas as well as open meadows near Møns Klint.

No prior experience is required, as horses are available for all skill levels. Pace and route are adjusted individually to ability and wishes.
